About Bixi

Bixi was one of the nine sons of the dragon. [4] His great fondness for all literature [3] gave him renown as a patron of the court. [4] His image often appeared on top of tombstones and steles. [1] Because he appeared frequently on grave monuments, [3] Bixi was thought of as being bowed in grief. [1]

Sometimes Bixi was depicted alone, [1] but often two images of the dragons were intertwined on stone tablets. [2]

Physical Description

Bixi was a traditional long dragon. [3]
