Dragon ColorsBronze DragonsFirst, this article will explore the symbolism of bronze in world cultures, then specifically relate that symbolism to dragons and serpents. The Symbolism of the Color Bronze
From 3500 B.C. to 1200 B.C., humans lived in the Bronze Age, till it ended with the start of
the Iron Age in 1200 B.C.1 Bronze is created by smelting copper
and tin, and this process forges a metal that is harder and more durable than the components.
This process was discovered around the third millennium BC.2
Because it is not a found metal, bronze is a less common symbolic color. The strength of the metal and its durability during the Bronze age made it an intricate part of weapons, chariots, and other important tools for society. Golden-brown tones are generally classified along with bronze, as well as some copper. Bronze Dragons
Bronze dragons are powerful, sturdy dragons that possess especially hard scales. Collecting
and protecting a splendid hoard of treasure would be the bronze dragon's ultimate dream, to
sleep on a pile of treasure roughly the color and size of itself.
