Dragon Anatomy and Physiology

Separator

Anatomy deals specifically with the structure of animals, while physiology deals with the functions of organisms. The study of animal anatomy and physiology often comes from a particular specimen, several specimens, or from remains and/or fossilized remains. Unfortunately, there are multiple dragon types and dragon species that all lack the benefit of any remains, fossils, or specimens, which make the study of dragon anatomy an incredibly complex subject.

Since no dragon remains have yet been identified, anatomy and physiology will be explored by way of comparative anatomy of living species as well as species that are extinct, such as dinosaurs.
