Comments:
A father protecting his clutch of dragon eggs is rarely found in dragon artwork, but in this instance it is captured wonderfully. Modern science has revealed that monitor lizards, which include the ferocious Komodo Dragon, do not protect or raise their offspring. In fact, young komodo dragons have to roost in trees until they are large enough not to be eaten by the adult komodo dragons. Having a depiction of a parental unit, especially a father, guarding the eggs is a refreshing image.
