Wishing on a Star is a beautiful combination of insect and dragon, with butterflies as the primary insect. The translucent, delicate wings make the dragon featured here look like a Fairy Dragon, innocent and curious. The threshold of the window seems almost portal-like, thus contributing to the magic of wishing on a shooting star.

About the Artist:
Meredith Dillman earned her BFA degree in Illustration from Minnesota State University. She works and lives in Minnesota, USA, where she paints and draws woodland creatures and fantasy-themed landscapes and scenes. She paints primarily in watercolor, and her art has been published in various books and journals.
