Dragon's Bane

Ash rises up, the eyes appear,with a flicker of flame rising through
they graze across the ruined land
with a flicker of laughter rising through
If the giant serpent could laugh
a roar of it might have sounded
yet it was beyond the reach of her
instead the echo of a teardrop sounded
A lingering and a touch of sorrow
now weighed heavy on her mind
all the things she did
lingered and weighed heavy on her mind.
