Site Information

Due to various questions, I have decided to open up a "Site Information" section for the Circle of the Dragon. Here, I will try to answer the most common questions and provide other important information.

This site, The Circle of the Dragon, was started back in 2000 on Angelfire. It was originally meant to be a small site with only theories on it. In the beginning, the site linked to external information (provided by other sites) when needed. However, soon I started the Dragons of Fame section for important dragons. As this expanded, I saw that the site's scope should widen to include more than just theories.

The Circle of the Dragon was then moved to another free host, Brinkster, in January 2001. This was when the site expanded to become almost what it is today. It also recieved the short-cut url http://dragoncircle.cjb.net/ which was used for about a year. After some time, domain name BlackDrago.com was bought for the site.

Most of the information was added from the years 2001-2004.

Originally, the Circle of the Dragon was created on a Mac. Then, it was transfered to a Windows NT for about a year. In late 2002, the Circle of the Dragon was transfered back to a Mac, which is now a new iMac.

This site should look about the same in all new browsers and on all computers. However, I use Mozilla to check the site out. It was originally created using HTML 4.0, the first internet "language" I learned. The new version, added late 2003, used XHTML 1.0 Strict. I use the W3C MarkUp Validation Service to make sure that the pages are coded properly. Only a few pages of the Circle of the Dragon are not XHTML 1.0 Strict.
