Author: Carol Rose Review: This is a great reference for people who like to read about the monsters and dragons of mythology, folklore, and legend. It doesn't have the heros of the tales, though it does include there names if they played a role in the creature's life. While it isn't the be-all and the end-all of the information about the creatures of mythology, it is a great start for people who need a beginning. The set-up of the book makes it easy to find what you are looking for, be it a specific creature or if you are scanning for specific type of creature. The alternative names of creatures are also listed. I recomend this book for people who like to read about these facinating creatures and learn more about some they've probably never heard of. If you need a spring-board for research on information on these mythological beings, this book is recomended as well.
