Report Mistakes

Originally, the Report Mistakes page had a form to be filled out to enable the user to inform me of errors they found on the website. I have had a number of issues with this system, none of which are technical. Before reporting an error to me, please read the following:

• This site uses footnotes and references. Please do not ask me "Where did you find [_________] information?" I receive this question all the time, and each time refer the person to the footnotes.
• While you may have heard the story growing up, that doesn't mean that alternative variations of that story are not valid. Please keep this in mind when reporting an alternative ending.
• Unless you are a member of a particular community, such as an indigenous tribe, that continues a tradition of passing down oral lore, it is very important that you send me a reference or resource to cite on this page. If you are a member of a community that passes down oral lore still, please let me know of contact names and/or addresses for someone who may verify these records or a name to associate with the particular telling of the story.
