I knew I was a metal dragon since I was born in that year ( I always considered myself golden ), but it was nice to know I was Chinese. I was going to put in my html signature, but I wasn't sure your guestbook supported pictures. |

My primary colour is indeed what the test said it was. You humans are certainly getting smarter. The only sad thing is that we dragons are growing more scarce. |

| Comments: | I have been looking through your site, finding i quite
informative and artistic. You have truly done a beautiful
job.
One of the things I must comment on though, is
something you had stated as far as the plausibility of the
existence of dragons. All of your explanations made use of
the normal course of evolution but many of Earth's
creatures have not followed what scientists consider to be
a normal course.
The wyvern explanation, albeit informative, left out
one possibility on the wings. You stated that it would be
more apt to have to have feathers as that has been the way
of evolution but you left out a creature of flight that
doesn't have feathers. The bat, although a warm-blooded
mammal, is a creature of flight with leathery wings. It
has no need of feathers to assist it in it's journeys
through the sky. If the wyvern's wings were such as those
of a bat, then it is indeed a plausible explanation.
Again, I do compliment you on a wondeful website that
is not only informative, but quite artistically
invigorating. I look forward to many happy returns to it. |

I read your page on dragons existing... but do you know
something, I think you're going about it all wrong.. dragons do exist, I believe they do, but not in the sense
you are pointing out. You are right, a physical creature
like a dragon would have to warm-blooded and the logistics
and physiology and stuff wouldn't really work
for 'traditional' dragons.
But why then are dragons such a powerful symbol to humans?
And why do nearly all cultures have stories and legends of
dragons. Cultures many of which did not have contact with
each other. The Chinese have dragon deities which they
introduced to the japanese but the japanese did have
dragons in their legends before that. The Aztecs have
their serpent dragon god Quetzacoatl, the babylonians
dipicted dragons in their carvings along with real
creatures like lions and bulls, greek legends have the
hydra and other creatures, even the bible has leviathan, a
giant sea dragon and supposedly the christian god's pet.
I believe that dragons once existed on earth in partial
physical state if not total.. and soon retreated to the
astral plane because humans are so nasty :) The astral
plane co-exists with the physical plane. Dragons live
there, as dragons are extremely wise and powerful beings..
okay now society kind of teaches out of us the acceptance
to the astral plane and stuff, from when we are little kids
we are taught to lock out things like that. But they are
still there though most people ignore them. And dragons
are there too, and sometimes, if you are able to relax and
open your mind and all that you can talk to them, or hear
them, or see them or feel them.
Whew okay I'm being yakky but my point is.. I don't believe
dragons existed (or exist) as a physical animal on earth, I
believe they are ancient beings with power far beyond our
capabilities that don't always share the exact realm we
know.
Hey well anyway take care everyone :) |
